WOW!
Hello everyone,
All I can say from these past few weekends is WOW! if any of you didn't know, my team three kings won the semi finals of the chatham cup, 2-1 come back won over Mirmar Rangers from wellington. We had a fantastic atmoshpere of about 1500 at the ground and was just great to have the whole ground packed with spectators. With this win it puts us through to the Grand final in two weeks time at North Harbour Stadium one of the big rugby grounds and it will be televised on Sky sport 3 here in New Zealand, so I will record it and make sure i can send back a few copies for you guys to watch. other than that, it has been fantastic, we also won our league match over this weekend 2-0 ans we have another catch up game on Tuesday. so its going to be a busy week. I also got a chance to go and train with my new club Auckland City, it was very good to get a chance to be there and met the boys, really looking forward to make a big impact on the team.
So that's about it here, oh that final game will be played on 20th of sept, so make sure you say a few prayers for my team and keep you fingers crossed in two weeks time. Before I shoot off would like to say to all the dad's out there, Happy Fathers Day! hope its a nice and relaxing day for you guys! well god bless and take care.
ciao ciao

Kia Ora!
Greetings Everyone,
Again I come up slacking on my new postings haha! Everything has been really great here, I am still living with the cooper family and its been just a blessing for them to let me into there home. have also been working alot more than usual, haha! for the last few weeks I have been helping one of my team mates build a roof, interesting stuff let me tell you! So now I am back on the job hunting but I don't think it will be that bad, Because I think I will be working construction soon where I will be helping with the construction of Eden Park a rugby ground which they are renovating for 2011 Rugby World cup. So other than that news from Auckland is very good.
As for the soccer here, its been a dream so far, our team three kings are killing it, we are still undefeated and we are n the semi finals of the Chatham cup. one of the most prestigious cups in New Zealand. Our semi final game is this weekend, and the Club is expecting to have over 2,000 spectators, Bigger than any venue that I have played in haha! So its going to be an exciting weekend! I wish you all could be here to see it. Also some good news on the soccer front, I have signed with Auckland City FC one of the bigger clubs here in Auckland, a great team and I am very thrilled to play with them, there are three gk so its going to be a battle everyday in training. But the other good thing about it is that I will be able to play at a world stage tournament n Dec. Our team will be playing in the FIFA Club world cup in UAE. We play a team called Al Ahli UAE league Champions, if we win that game and the second game then we will play powerhouse Barcelona. WOW! so some exciting months to come up here soon. But other than that things have been great. oh yeah I also got a chance to go fishing for the first time here in NZ, we went out for red snapper, didn't catch much but got to see some really nice islands and get away from the fast city life, quality R &R. well I miss you all very much and hopefully will catch up again soon.
god bless,
Greg

Hello
Hey everyone,
I know I said that I was going to be better at posting on this blog. haha, well im sorry that my lacking for keeping up with it. But other than that things are going well. I have moved out of Onehunga to a Hostel in Mt Eden, which is closer to the city centre. Also my other American friend Andre s here with me so we are living together trying to make it in auckland! In the soccer scene our team Three Kings are league leaders right now with about 12 more games to go. So the season is looking good for a promotion to the premier league for next year. I am also back playing and doing very well. The Broken finger has healed and preforming well. We had a game this past weekend and it was a tough one. We ended up tieing 2-2, hard fought game but we still remain unbeaten and on top of the table wth 30pts. If anyone would like to visit the website where they post scores and photos go to www.aucklandfootball.org.nz, looked at the site today and I made one picture haha! Other than soccer, I have been enjoying the city life, done a fair amount of walking around the city and hiking ot the top of Mt eden, One tree hill, which give great views of the entire city. On the working side of things currently i have picked up some work at a pool and on the coaching front as well. Never stray to far away from the coaching. But hopefully things will get better in that deptarment sooner than later! The Weather has been okay, last night was the first storm and i was in heaven, i love hearing a good storm, I'm sure rght now in NC the summer storms are fantastic! It is getting pretty cold, and it as been raining a bunch for days, kinda depressing but when the sun comes out its a gorgeous day! Well I hope everyone has been having a great summer in the US and I look forward to seeing everyone when I return in Sept. Much love from Under!

Hello From New Zealand Again!
Well hello everyone,
Yes it is true I am back living in New Zealand. I am currently playing in the winter season for a club called Three Kings United. They are based out of Auckland so I am living in the big city and its been absolutely amazing. It reminds me alot of being back home. But so far I have been here for about one week and thing are going good, besides me braking my little finger in the first night of practice. haha just my luck. So I am keeping fit and on the injury list for about two weeks. After that then I can jump back into the goal. Also we had our first game against Tauranga which is on the east coast of the country. It was a rainy and cold day, but we came out and won by a very good margin. it was 8-1, just a thrashing! After the game we were back on the bus for a three hours bus trip. It was a lot of fun even though I was not playing I still got the chance to see the team play and finally start bonding with them. But I will be talking alot more about soccer, but I want to let everyone know where I live. Currently I am staying with a wonderful family that lives in a suburb called Onehunga, which is pretty much central to everything in Auckland. From my house its only about 15mins to downtown. But other than that everything is fitting into place and I just cant wait to start playing again. I am also on the hunt for a job, but it looks like I will not stray too far from the soccer scene. I think I will be coaching a few nights and also looking for a more permanent title. Well its really good to be back in New Zealand and I look forward to sharing all of my memories and experiences here in NZ with you over this blog. Well take care and talk to everyone very soon. I will become much better about keeping everyone in track with my progress. haha! Well much love from down under. and remember Three Kings all the way!

The Big One
Hey everyone,
its friday monring and I wanted to say a few words before the big game tomorrow. As you know Auckland and Waitek, are the two biggest clubs in the league. On Saturday(friday your time), we will be traveling to play Auckland City. Waikato hasnt beaten Auckland since 2004-2005 season, and a win is what we need to stay alive in the table. Another good thing is that Mike will be playing so we will see what he can bring to the table. Other than that everything is great down here, weather has been awsome, around 75-80 so not complaints from me! I hope everything is going well back in the states. But if you are interested in watching the game there is a live gametracker on the main NZFC website. so keep your fingers crossed, and i hope everyone has a great weekend!

Hey Yall
Hey everyone,
I know its been a long time from the last post. I just got back from the Christmas and New Year Break! I was at a beach on the east coast of NZ, it was called Papamoa Beach. It was a lovely beach and really nice beach house. I went down with one of the guys how play on the team (Nathan Strom). We went whitewater rafting, (i highly recommend this to anyone!), Played on the beach and went out in town and the last night at a concert, the band was a local Kiwi band called the The Feelers! good one! lets just say I really enjoyed the break. And when I got back home I found out that my brother mike was coming down to play, so he is here and its been really good. so everything is great here, I hope yalls xmas and new year was great! I missed you all and wish i could have been there! But now its back to business with the team we had training last night and I was feeling it hard, But I will be ready for this weekends game! We need this win before we go to Auckland for the big one next weekend! But anyways, I am working on the photos right now! but if you have facebook, mike is posting some already! so enjoy!
