Three Wins in a Row!!

Hey everyone,
Waikato FC has just won again. this past weekend we took on Youngheart, a team that was at the top of the table and beat them 2-0. It could have been worst, we managed to hit the bar three times and had several other chances to score but we could not capitalize. It was my first shutout, and I played pretty well. its just exciting to come here and play in two games and get to wins. Very good. Other than that I am going to be moving into the city this week. I was living in a small town called Ngaruawahia, where our teams trains and plays home matches. I am looking forward to get into the city and have more to get to. I will be close to shops and other things so I can walk or catch the bus. Also I will be getting photos on here as soon as possible, if you want to see some photos of the games just go to the waikatofc.co.nz and click on the games. But anyways things are going very well for me and the team. So i hope everyone had a very nice weekend and I look forward to writing more and getting some photos up for ya'll. Take care

hey all

hello everyone,
this was a great weekend for soccer, my team waikato fc to on Otago united from the south island. another good thing was that I got to start my first game in the NZFC league, the first 10 mins were a bit dodgey, becuase i let in a near post goal, but I recovered fast and finished the game playing very well. According the Waikato Times the newspaper down here. I controlled my box well and made the saves i suppose to make. so all in all this weekend was a great weekend for waikato and myself. check out the website for pictures and i believe claire has posted some as well, she does a fine job! thanks Claire!!! But I have another week of practice and will play youngheart this weekend who are in the top seed for the league, so it should be a good test ofr me! But other than that everything else is very good. Plus today I got a chance to visit one of the beach towns which was only about 35 mins away, beach called Raglan. very nice place and I hope to get those pictures up soon to show you all! Well it was good talking to everyone and i hope everything back home is good. Love yall
Greg

Also I could potential play this weekend in my first home game against Otago. so very excited! We also need to win this one so we can stay in the upper half of the table. we have to be top four to make playoffs in march! but everything is great. oh yeah I have been learning alot of new phrases to say. the kiwi's love to use a bunch of short funny words. but I miss you all very much and cant wait to inform you about what happened in this weekends game. take care

G'day from New Zealand

Hey All,
As of now I am living in New Zealand! I flew in on Friday nov 21, everything has been great. this is a very beautiful country, so i am excited to learn parts of the culture! I went and saw my first game up in auckland, it was the Oceania League (which is the same as Champions League) the Teams were Waitakere v Port Via from one of the islands. The play was okay, some were a bit better than others, but I am very excited to get into the league and start playing. I am also living with one of the Local club members her name is Maxine, she is a wonderful person and has been very nice and welcoming. I live in little small town called Ngaruawahia, its only a town of about 2,000 people, but I am only one hour and 15 mins from auckland and about 30 mins to Hamilton. the beaches are also very close! but i havent had the time to get there. I am sure there will be some trip lined up in the future. Well anyways everything is great from NZ. I will be posting picture very soon for my surroundings! I miss everyone and look forward to posting more columns on the site! I also want to thank Claire for getting this site up and running. Brillant! Well Love yall, and I hope everyone is having a wonderful day! see ya
